Day two. Ran around ship looking at things played bingo almost won joined really humid. the line dance crew went to a meeting about blogging finished unpacking and that was enough. Really humid hot our first humid and hot day. There will be more. I do think. What’s it like on the ship when it’s sailing very smooth. Little bitty rocks kind of like a train. On a really slick track. Very quiet ship is just a little over half full so plenty of space for everything, what do you do during the day they give you a list and there’s something to do every 30 minutes if you’re interested so they won’t ever be any time on your hands if you’re if you wanna do something you can go do it otherwise you can just rest yourself. I still don’t have the hang of this so excuse The! Marks, commas and periods that are left out I’m course talking into the phone as you can tell standby for news tomorrow.

First Day. 1/4/24

Arrived in Miami and got picked up by some of the Azamara crew at luggage pick up. They were dressed in black-and-white. I was too. They made me an honorary member of their crew. They took me to a van and Dago was my driver. He said he was from Cuba. He also mentioned it was his birthday so he got my rendition of the birthday song. He recorded it for his mother in Cuba.

Checked into the Marriott Harbor Beachresort. Met up with Colinda and Janis. We were treated to cocktails and dinner. There are 195 people going on the whole trip. Will be about one fourth of the passengers. Eight countries represented. Many have been on Azamara cruises before. Met some very nice folks. Average age appears to be mid seventies.

First Blog: Getting Ready!

On the 5th of January, I embark on a trip around the world! Today my grand daughter Melody helped me pack. I feel more ready than ever! She also helped me set up this blog. Thanks Melody for your love and support.

Follow along with my blog! I will be posting daily (or trying to anyway) as I go by ship from Florida, through the Caribbean, over the Panama Canal, down to Peru, over to Easter Island and the Galapagos, on to Tonga, to New Zealand, Australia, up to Hong Kong (where I’ll celebrate my birthday!), all the way through the islands to Sri Lanka and India, then up to Dubai, through the Suez Canal, to Turkey, all around the Mediterranean, and finally ending the tour in Barcelona. But then I’ll be spending a couple weeks with my choir in Italy. Then maybe, just maybe, I’ll come home :0)
